Meet David Doel

David’s eventing career started in the Avon Vale Pony Club, where he was a regular on all of the teams at championship level. He moved on up the ranks through Juniors & Young Riders, winning team Gold, Silver, Bonze and an individual Bronze. In 2014 he made his Senior Nations Cup debut and was awarded the Goldman Cup for best Under 21 rider of the season. 

He rode his first 5* at Pau in 2018 and has been consistently competing at the level ever since. 2022 saw him riding at his first Badminton on Galileo Nieuwmoed resulting in a fantastic 6th place, followed by 4th at Pau 2022.

2023 has seen no shortage of excellent 5* results too - reaching 8th at Kentucky and 2nd at Burghley.
