Not only because it’s well-organised but because it’s such a beautiful course, for horses, riders and spectators. And usually runs in all weathers, which has made it particularly attractive this spring!
David’s dressage and SJ times were all during the morning with lovely blue sky and sunshine (although as always, a howling gale!) but unfortunately the weather deteriorated at about midday so all his XC runs were in driving rain (and still the howling gale).
However, neither he nor the horses took much notice of that and he won one Novice section on Cracker Jack II (Jack), and came 2nd and 4th in another on Rainstown Star (Duncan) and Mark Milligan’s Bottoms Up III (Charlie) respectively.
