Barbury certainly lived up to its name – beautiful setting, beautiful weather, well-attended, well-organised and well-tackled by five of our horses.  Cracker Jack and Rainstown Star (Duncan) were entered in the Novice (Friday) and both completed on their dressage score – double clears and no time faults – finishing 3rd (Jack) and 2nd (Duncan) in their sections.

At the end of the 2* dressage,  Jane and Ian James’ Eisfee (Alice) was some way down the list but the showjumping proved tricky for many and with a clear round, she was quickly back in the running.  A clear XC with a few time faults saw her finish in 12th place.

Meanwhile, MocklersHill Buster delighted everyone with a dressage of 49.8, double clear and no time faults, to finish 9th in his CIC2* section.  Niki Ryan’s Shannondale Jasper completed the trio of 2* entries, also with a double clear, and finished in 16th.

And finally, David was awarded the prize for the Best British u25 rider in the CIC3*, with Gillian Jonas’ Chap.

A great weekend, with some excellent results, and a great party on Friday evening.  You can see all the pix here.
